A MedSpa is where you receive minimally invasive beauty and overall wellness enhancement treatments in a relaxing ambiance. It helps you escape the fast-paced and stressful environment of hospitals and clinics. Thus receiving medical treatments for beauty enhancements and overall wellness in a relaxing environment.
The primary difference between a MedSpa and a traditional salon or day spa lies in the range of services offered and the presence of medical oversight. Salons and day spas primarily offer beauty treatments such as facials, pedicures, manicures, and massages that enhance one’s external appearance.
On the other hand, a MedSpa, or Medical Spa, provides a hybrid experience. It combines a day spa’s relaxing, pampering environment with the advanced, results-oriented procedures typically found in a medical setting. At a MedSpa, treatments go beyond superficial beauty services. They are performed under the supervision of a Medical Director, ensuring a higher level of care and expertise. MedSpa services focus on improving and rejuvenating the skin, hair, and body through medical-grade procedures that can have more significant and long-lasting effects on appearance and underlying health concerns.
As mentioned above, Medical Spas operate under the direct supervision of a Medical Director. At Memorial MedSpa, we operate under the direct supervision of a Medical Doctor, Gina Chestnut-Bell, M.D., OB/GYN. As a clinic educator and leader in women’s health, Dr. Gina Bell remains an unrelenting advocate for excellence in the care of her patients. She is passionate about integrating an individual, holistic approach to healthcare delivery and overall wellness. Dr. Bell has truly mastered the art of helping her clients find balance and health in their daily lives.
